The dry stone book launch last night at Furby House Books, through a series of coincidences, ended up being scheduled in the same week we wallers have been 'relaunching' the Farley Mowat Dry Stone Boat Project here in Port Hope. Nevertheless it was great to see even more friends and wallers out for the book signing event as a result.
Signing a book (even one about building dry stone walls) is very different from building walls. I'll always feel more comfortable about leaving well built walls behind, as my signature, than leaving pen marks on the page of book.
