Where's Waldo ?

At Graniteville, near Barre, Vermont, everyone has a pile of granite waste from nearly 100 years of quarrying some of the finest granite in North America.

Piles like this are virtually everywhere you go.
John is standing on a smaller block...kind of like a stonemasonry "Where's Waldo?"

Thanks to John Scott for providing this post

  1. I heard somewhere that much of this waste was to be potentially shipped to Florida to be used in a massive break water project. Seems like a substantial carbon footprint.. it would be interesting to weigh against other options.

  2. This has to be Waldo in his element. Silicon chips. Took me a while but I found him.
