We had long day of hiking yesterday in the Lake District Cumbria. The highlights were Slater's Dry Stone Bridge, the tunnel and inner beamed chamber of Cathedral Quarry, the pub meal we had at the Three Shires, the scenic walk back beside the old wall that runs along the ridge of Langdale Pike and the slide presentation last night by well known climber,local author and photographer Bill Birkett.
What a great bunch of people to spend the day with and what a great way to spend my birthday.
