  1. Hello John, my name is Alvaro. I live in Uruguay (South America). I am married, I am 36 years old, and currently unemployed. First of all, I want to tell you that you are an amazing dry stone builder. I am very interested in learning to be one too (not an amazing one, just a dry stone builder, je).Unfortunately here in Uruguay there is no place to learn that. I have been looking for people with this kind of knowledge nearby but so far I can not find anyone. So I decided to ask you for advice. I want to know if you recommend a book to start learning the different techniques that involves this activity. Sadly I can not travel to Canada to attend to one of your workshops, that is why I ask for a book, or other means to learn.
Thank you very much. Sorry to bother you with this.
    Best regards.

  2. I recommend the DSWA publication Dry Stone Walling rewritten by Sean Adcock available at Dswa.org .uk or tcv.org.uk
