I think the father son relationship is one that could be analysed in great depth. I also accept the gifts from my father who is still very much alive although I struggle to be close to him. Generally, men are hard wired not to be emotionaly close to their fathers but you can tell that they would chose otherwise if it wasn't complicated. My thoughts are with you.
