The Rocks Compose Themselves

The rocks compose themselves
And their walls are spontaneous compositions
Permanent improvisations in space
They are very slow to decompose

We are less adaptable
We barely last a lifetime
The rocks know how to fit in
To the spaces in time

Our part
If we want to fit in too
Is to take them
As they come and facilitate
Their arrival into the pattern
Of the wall
And find our purpose in their design
Experiencing fun in formation
And form in function
